This is a very easy and tasty recipe. With very few ingredients, it makes a great side dish for rice and roti.
Ingredients
- Cauliflower - 1 nos
- Potatoes - 2 medium
- Onions - 1 medium
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper powder - to taste
- Curry leaves - 1 or 2 spring
- Oil - 1 or 2 tsp
- Clean the cauliflower florets, drain and keep aside.
- Cut potatoes into medium sized pieces, keep aside.
- Heat a kadai add 2 tsp oil and saute the sliced onions till transparent.
- Add cauliflower and potatoes and saute for a few minutes. Add enough water to cook.
- Add required salt and turmeric powder, cover and cook till done.
- Finally add curry leaves and pepper to taste, mix well and switch off the flame after one minute.
- Serve hot.
- Be careful while cooking cauliflower, we don't want it to be mushy. So once it's 3/4th cook remove the lid and cook open until all water dries up.
