This is the first time am baking a cookie. I got this recipe from the blog 'cooking is easy'. Its a simple cookie with nice buttery flavour.
The day I planned to bake these turned out super busy with some unexpected guests. I made the dough but din get time to shape them perfectly. Eventhough they didnt look good, they tasted good...trust me.
I made a slight variation to the recipe, I reduced maida to half and added atta instead ( health consious me ;) ). So my cookie texture was a bit rough.
Ingredients
Butter - 1/2 cup /100 gm
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Flour - 1 1/2 cup
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
Egg - 1/2 lightly beaten
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Method
- Dunk in all the ingredients into the food processor and pulse it for 2 minutes
- Put the coarse dough onto a plain surface and knead till soft
- Shape it and place on greased baking paper and bake in a preheat for 10 -12 minutes
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes and then transfer to cooling rack
Notes
- I used one whole egg
- Instead of food processor you can use your fingers to incorporate cold butter and flour to a bread crump consistency. Then add the rest of the ingredients and knead to a dough
