Chocolate Pudding


Hii Guys..This is my first post and what is there better than a sweet dish to start with...Happiness is always connected with sweets..Even those who don't like sweets share their happiness with sweets..And chocolates have the top place in most of our hearts. So I have a delicious and simple recipe for all those with sweet tooth..

The recipe may sound complicated for some of you...dont worry once you start doing it....you will find its ok...

Ingredients

Milk- 500 mL
Eggs- 2 No's (separated)
Dark chocolate- Half cup grated
Gelatine- 2 Tablespoons
Vanilla essence- Half teaspoon
Sugar- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoon (powdered)

Method

  • Add 1/4 cup cold water to gelatine and keep aside to bloom 
  • Beat the egg yolks and keep aside
  • Bring the milk to boil, add sugar and simmer for 3 minutes.Remove from flame, cool to luke warm
  • Add the beaten egg yolks to the milk and mix thoroughly. Now cook this on low flame.Stir continuously and cook till the custard starts to coat the back of the spoon
  • Switch of the flame and add chocolate immediately, mix till dissolved
  • Melt the gelatine by double boiling method and add to the custard
  • Add vanilla essence
  • Beat the egg whites till foaming.Add the powdered sugar and beat to soft peaks
  • When the custard comes to room temperature, fold in the egg whites
  • Pour this mixture into wet moulds and refrigerate till set
NOTES
  • Sugar can be adjusted according to your taste
  • Separating the egg is not necessary.But folding the beaten egg whites give a soft texture to the pudding
  • Amount of gelatine can be varied.Increase the amount for a firm texture and reduce for creamy texture
